With her bubbly personality, iconic colourful hair and contagiously catchy tunes, Birmingham based indie pop artist Eliza May knows how to stand out from the crowd. Using intricate harmonies alongside captivating melodies, Eliza brings a refreshingly warm vibe to the indie pop scene. In previous years, Eliza has played at Brighton Pride 2018, supported Declan J Donovan in 2020 and headlined the O2 Institute Birmingham with her band in 2021. 2022 was a huge year for Eliza as she headlined Sofar Sounds Birmingham, played amazing festivals such as Y Not? Festival and Hereford Indie Food Festival and supported incredible artists such as Kate Nash, Tiffany and Rianne Downey. Eliza has also had a great deal of support from blogs and radio stations throughout the country including BBC Introducing WM, Amazing Radio (UK & US), Islington Radio (London), GMTF Radio (South Wales), King City Online, Gryfta Blog, Music Crowns and Dead Good Music Blog.
Starting off 2023 with a bang, Eliza has brought us the release of her highly anticipated EP “Candy Heart”. Based on true stories from her own life, expect layers of gorgeous harmonies, sassy but classy lyrics and playful instrumentation that will have you singing and dancing all the way through. Taking inspiration from a wide range of artists including Paramore, Olivia Dean, Fickle Friends and The Wombats, this EP is full of catchy indie pop bops that perfectly encompass all the highs and lows you feel when truly falling in and out of love. This year alone, Eliza has performed at the Isle of Wight Festival 2023 quarter finals, supported iconic artists such as Reverend and the Makers and the TikTok legend Jennifer Owens on their UK tours and was chosen to perform at great festivals such as Brighton Pride, Hereford Indie Food Festival and Pub in the Park where she opened up the main stage. Bringing her delightfully addictive sound and positively radiant energy, Eliza May is an artist you won't want to miss out on in 2023.
